Why aren’t all locations dog and pet friendly?

We wish all of our locations could welcome dogs and other pets. However, we must work closely with landowners to protect the local farmland and livestock surrounding our cabins. In turn, we’re grateful to showcase these uniquely WA locations, and we deeply respect the landowners who run active farms and manage livestock. As a result, we created our pet-friendly cabins through consultation with, and approval from, our landowners.

What’s the big deal with dogs and pets on farms?

While we love dogs and other pets, animals can be unpredictable, not ideal for farmers managing livestock on a large property. For instance, a seemingly small incident, like a dog barking at a herd of cows, can have serious consequences. In fact, herds of sheep or cows can break through fencing, sometimes causing fatal traffic accidents. Incidents like these can also cause devastating losses for local farmers already working hard to secure their future.

Is my dog allowed inside they cabin?

Yes, our dog-friendly accommodation welcomes dogs inside. In addition, there’s room for a dog bed, water bowl and other items to help your pet enjoy the experience too.

Can I leave my dog unattended at the cabin?

While some of our cabin locations sit near National Parks that don’t permit dogs, we ask that you don’t leave your dog unattended in the cabin during your stay. Instead, you’re responsible for keeping your dog with you throughout your stay, to protect you, your dog and the surrounding wildlife.

Is my dog allowed off lead around the cabin property?

You must keep your dog under effective control at all times during your stay, so they don’t wander into nearby paddocks. Therefore, please keep your dog on a lead when walking around the property, some areas may not permit dogs, so follow any posted signs.

Do you offer family cabins that are dog friendly?
