Our Community Artists Project
Heyscape was never just about the spaces, it’s about the feeling of being in our cabins, and collaborating with local artists to capture and express that feeling in thoughtful, creative ways.
The Community Artist Project grew from a desire to share that feeling through the eyes of local artists. By inviting creatives into the process, we’re able to capture the subtle details that make each place special, light, landscape, memory, and mood, and weave them into the guest experience. If this is your vibe, we would love to hear from you.
It’s our way of supporting local creativity while creating something more human, more lasting, and more connected.

For Keeps Illustration
Kirsty’s work is deeply rooted in sentiment, memory-making, and a slower, more intentional way of creating.
Her practice celebrates the beauty of making things by hand, preserving moments, places, and feelings that might otherwise pass us by.
Drawing long summer sunsets, the movement of swallows overhead, and the rich coastal landscape of William Bay, Denmark, her designs capture the quiet magic of this place, something we hope every Heyscape guest feels during their stay.
We’ve since partnered with Kirsty to create a collection of bespoke Heyscape illustrations, with more in the works.
Sarah Pondevie
Sarah Pondevie Art
Sarah’s artistic practice is grounded in direct observation of the natural world, using oils, pastels, and watercolour to capture the essence and energy of a landscape.
Alongside her own creative work, Sarah is dedicated to nurturing creativity in others through workshops across a variety of mediums. Her talent has been recognised with multiple awards in oils, pastels, and watercolour.
While staying at Heyscape, Sarah immersed herself in the surrounding landscape, creating plein air works inspired by the environment. The supermoon rising over the cabin became the inspiration for our recent welcome card – a special piece that reflects the beauty and stillness of the experience.

Can I submit artwork for this project?
Submissions have now closed, however please feel free to sign up to our mailing list and follow us on our social channels for when we open submissions again.
What does the selected artist receive?
A gifted cabin stay to relax, recharge, and create or a monetary exchange to the same value (for this option, artist must provide an ABN)
A food hamper to enjoy at the cabin (depending on location) if a gifted stay is chosen
Their artwork featured on our welcome card, the first thing guests see
A printed artist bio included with each card
Additional promotion through our social media and website.
Will I retain the rights to my artwork?
Yes. Artists retain full rights to their work. By submitting, you grant Heyscape permission to use the piece for the welcome card and associated promotions, with credit given.
How do I apply?
Submissions have now closed for the 2025/2026 intake, however if you have any ideas, portfolios, or questions please email marketing@heyscape.com.au
