Our Accessible Cabins

Tiny cabins that cater for a range of disability requirements

Accessible Cabins

We aim to remove the physical barriers that stop people from accessing the incredible nature Western Australia has to offer. To that end, Tourism WA Council’s accessibility representative at Spinal Life Australia has assessed our wheelchair accessible cabins, so the design holds up to more than our own intentions.

In short, our goal is to make finding accessible holiday accommodation easier — so people with disabilities can experience the benefits of getting out into nature, without the barriers.

After all, there’s no single shape that travel takes. Some of us arrive solo, some with a companion, some with the whole family in tow. That’s why we’ve built our accessible cabins with space for all of tha, room to move, room to rest, room to bring the people you’d want beside you.

Denmark, Koorabup

This cabin sits on quiet farmland neighbouring William Bay National Park, on Menang Noongar country. It carries the same considered amenities as the rest of our cabins, including the same wide window by the bed for the night sky. Meanwhile, we’ve fitted the outdoor bath with a support frame for entry and exit, positioned for a long, unhurried soak under the stars.

Overall, the cabin sleeps up to two, with a lowered queen bed for easy access, reading lights, an indoor kitchenette, an outdoor BBQ, and everything you need to cook a favourite meal.

Roll-in shower

Built for ease and privacy both. Support rails, a shower seat, and an adjustable handheld head, so a long, warm wash after a day outdoors feels like exactly that. Bathroom door width: 85cm

Kitchen and bed

A queen bed and an indoor kitchenette, benches set at 90cm for comfortable reach. The window stays close by, so the view never really leaves the room.

Supported outside bath

A deck built for lingering, cushioned seating facing out toward the water. The outdoor bath sits nearby too, fitted with a support frame for an easy, unhurried soak.

Step-free from the start

A step free deck leads straight from accessible parking to the cabin door, no steps in between. From here, the cabin settles into the trees like it’s always been there.

Accessible Accomodation Amenities

We offer a place to rest your head at the end of a nourishing day exploring Perth’s natural beauty, where you can soak in the starry night sky from the large signature window by the bed.

Our accessible tiny cabins cater for a range of disability requirements, including limited mobility, wheelchairs and mobility scooters, cognitive and sensory disabilities, and vision impairment.

We’ve equipped each cabin with maximum comfort in mind. Amenities include a queen-sized bed with bedding, reading lights, an indoor kitchenette, an outdoor BBQ, and all the essential cookware to make your favourite meals.

Before you book

Our cabins live on working farms, and the land around them is honest about that. Some outdoor surfaces are gravel, compacted earth, or uneven ground — part of what makes the setting what it is, but worth knowing in advance. We’d rather get the details right with you than leave them to chance, so if you have specific accessibility requirements, reach out before you book and we’ll talk through whether the cabin suits you. Call us on +61 8 6255 5718 or email hello@heyscape.com.au.

All of our cabins sit on private properties, which often have animals and require gates to be opened and closed on arrival and departure. Given the remoteness and property access involved, we strongly advise all guests with accessibility requirements to bring a companion to help.

How do i access the cabin from my vehicle?

Our accessible cabins let you drive right up and enter via an accessible ramp. However, since the cabins sit on remote, working farmland, the surrounding area may not be level or paved.

Why aren’t all your locations accessible?

We wish all our locations could be accessible for everyone to enjoy. Unfortunately, not all of the farmland we have access to is suitable for an accessible cabin. In the meantime, join our e-newsletter to stay up to date on future accessible cabins.

Can i bring a companion or carer with me?

Absolutely. In fact, we have family-sized accessible cabins with a queen bed and two bunk beds, accommodating up to 4 guests.

Can i request additional accommodations for my disability?

We endeavour to cater to a range of disability requirements, including mobility, cognitive, sensory disabilities and vision impairment. So if you need anything that isn’t listed, please reach out. Call us on +61 8 6255 5718 or email hello@heyscape.com.au.
